About this lot

Racing Fashion Weekly is a free guide to dressing for the races. It is live now at racingfashionweekly.com, and you can open it and browse it before you bid. Visitors need no account, and every piece links straight through to the retailer that sells it.

On 5 October 2026 the site showed 3,397 pieces across headwear, dresses, shoes, bags, jewellery, suiting, outerwear and accessories. It also holds a directory of 106 Australian milliners, a directory of 130 Australian labels, and a racing calendar with a dress code for each race day.

The catalogue refreshes itself. At 4am Sydney time each day the software collects new pieces from the shops, takes down anything sold out and republishes the site. If one shop cannot be read, its existing pieces stay on show. If a whole refresh looks wrong, the live site is left as it was. The racing calendar is the one part loaded by hand.

The lot is the whole package: the website and its code, the software that builds the catalogue, the brand files, the Instagram account, two domains and 20 hours of handover and training with the current owner. The site carries no advertising today, and the sale memo gives no revenue or traffic figures, so none are claimed here.

What a buyer could do with it

  • A buyer could join the retailers' affiliate programmes and add tracking codes to the outbound links. Every piece already links to the retailer's own product page.
  • A buyer could sell featured spots to labels and milliners, or sponsorship of race-day pages and the calendar. The site carries no advertising today.
  • A buyer could partner with race clubs or Fashions on the Field, or run ticketed styling events around the major carnivals, using the calendar and its dress codes.
  • A buyer could add more shops. The memo says each new shop needs only its web address, and the software does the collecting and sorting.
  • A buyer could keep the site running as it is, or embed the catalogue, directories and calendar into a website it already runs.
  • A buyer could extend the site to other racing countries by adding local labels and milliners, loading local race days and dress codes, and joining local affiliate programmes. The shops and directories are all Australian today. Four of the 102 shops already price in US dollars.

What is and is not included

Included

  • The live website at racingfashionweekly.com: all source code, the database and the hosting setup.
  • The catalogue software (the memo calls it the curation engine): it collects products from the shops' websites, removes what is not race-day wear and sold-out stock, and files each piece under one of eight headings.
  • The domain racingfashionweekly.com, paid up to 28 January 2030.
  • The domain racingfashionweekly.com.au, paid up to 29 January 2027. See the bidder conditions: this domain needs an Australian presence.
  • The RFW Figma file: the crest and wordmark logos in square and wide formats, in dark and cream; a set of hand-drawn line illustrations; newsletter templates for desktop and phone; and the colour and type choices (typefaces Forum, Lato and Allison).
  • RFW Canva designs: decks of ready-made Instagram posts running to 91 pages, story templates and RFW Social Club artwork.
  • The Instagram account @racingfashionweekly.
  • 20 hours of handover and training with the current owner.

Not included

  • The seller's hosting and service accounts. The buyer opens its own accounts for the services the site runs on (Netlify, Supabase, GitHub and Firecrawl) and the site is moved into them.
  • Advertising, affiliate or retailer agreements. The site carries no advertising today, the outbound links do not yet carry affiliate tracking codes, and the memo lists no retailer agreements as part of the sale.
  • Revenue or traffic history. The sale memo gives no revenue or traffic figures, so none are claimed.
  • Race days after 27 December 2026. The calendar is loaded by hand, and the 2027 dates and dress codes need to be loaded by the buyer.
  • Support beyond the 20 hours of handover and training.

Handover

  • The sale includes 20 hours of handover and training with the current owner.
  • Transfers: the two domains, the Instagram account, the Figma file, the Canva designs, the website code and the database are moved into the buyer's name.
  • The buyer opens its own accounts for the services the site runs on and the site is moved into them: Netlify for hosting, Supabase for the database, GitHub for the code and Firecrawl for reading shops that are not on Shopify.
  • Running the site: how the daily refresh works, how to read its results and what to do if a shop stops responding.
  • Growing the catalogue: how to add a shop by its web address and how to adjust what counts as race-day wear.
  • Brand and content: a tour of the brand library and how to publish with it.
  • The buyer then either keeps the site running as it is or embeds it into its own website, and switches on the income routes it chooses.

Conditions for bidders on this lot

  • A .com.au domain can only be held by a registrant with an Australian presence, such as an ABN or ACN. A buyer outside Australia would take racingfashionweekly.com only, and should check its eligibility for racingfashionweekly.com.au before bidding.
  • The memo recommends that the buyer has someone technical on hand. Day-to-day running needs no staff, but the handover itself is technical work. The site is built with Astro, a widely used website framework.
  • The assets are offered together, as one lot.

By bidding you confirm you meet these conditions.
